Colorado’s Royal Gorge Route Railroad, the state’s first and finest scenic rail line, will launch its annual, month-long Oktoberfest celebration this weekend. This year’s three-course, two-hour German-themed lunch train will run daily at 12:30 p.m. from this Saturday, September 12 through October 18 and feature Veal Bratwurst with Mustard Spaetzle, Pollo Marsala, Vegetable Napoleon, Roasted Pork Osso Bucco or Basil Pesto Salmon. Barry the accordion player will be on hand in lederhosen to entertain guests, and every passenger will be gifted a celebratory pint glass to commemorate the occasion.
