Ride the Top Christmas Train in Colorado – the Santa Express Train

I had the pleasure of experiencing the Royal Gorge Route, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations… As a solo traveler, I often find myself hesitant to explore new places, but Hubie and Judy went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and at ease.

We loved the Royal Gorge train ride! The dome seats were definitely worth it… felt like I could reach out to the gorge walls and we saw some big horn sheep!

Wonderful train tour and worth the money. Recommend getting a commemorative photo. Views were beautiful and drinks were delicious! Highly recommend making a stop to experience this ride.

Our trip was on a Sunday morning in early September… Once the train got rolling we went to the open air car & spent the entirety of our tour there. That allowed for the best views for the complete ride. The views were spectacular.

This is truly an incredible experience and only takes 2 hours… Good food and friendly service… The gentleman who served as the tour guide on the open rail car gave us some incredible information about the history of the area.
