Join us for a special three-course first class gourmet dining experience aboard the Royal Gorge Route Railroad.
Your experience begins with a glass of sparkling wine followed by a baby wedge salad, French rolls with butter, and your choice of entree. Our made-from-scratch First Class menu features Slow-Roasted Colorado Prime Rib, Chicken Marsala, Atlantic Salmon, and our Vegetable Napoleon. We complete your First Class experience with our house-made Italian Panna Cotta with raspberry coulis and a dollop of fresh whipped cream on top.
We invite you to pair it up with your favorite cocktails, microbrews, wines by the glass or by the bottle from our Conductor’s Reserve Wine List featuring outstanding varietals at more realistic prices not found at other fine dining establishments.
At any time during your journey, you’re invited to wander outside to an open air observation car to enjoy the 360° scenic vista featuring the rushing Arkansas River, geological formations within the Royal Gorge, and historic sites.

INCLUDES:

Applicable historic preservation fee will be added upon check out. Gratuity is not included in the price. Please be kind to your servers.

For same day booking please make your reservations at least one hour before departure.

In the longstanding tradition of railroad dining, please note that we seat in parties of 4. Parties of 2 will most likely be seated across from another couple. This is an incredible opportunity to meet fellow rail fans, travelers, and new friends. When seated with another couple, you and your guest will be seated on the same side. Larger groups will be seated in adjacent rows.

An expansive list of your favorite cocktails, mocktails, Colorado brews and fantastic wines from around the world are available for order throughout your journey, for an additional price. Enjoy your beverage at your table or aboard our open-air car at anytime throughout your journey!
In keeping with railroad tradition, parties of two might be combined to sit together at a table of four. When seated with another couple, you and your guest will be seated on the same side of the table. Parties of four will always be seated at the same table.

We offer a full menu of dining options and do our best to accommodate any dietary restrictions our passengers may have. For serious allergies, please call our reservations line at 719-276-4000 in advance of your ride to ensure our team is aware of your needs. However, because we serve known allergens, please be advised that we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination.
Wheelchair Accessibility
The train can accommodate a limited number of wheelchair patrons per each train departure. The Vista Dome is not accessible to wheelchairs. Guests must be able to climb 14 steps on their own in order to sit in the Dome Cars.
Please call Reservations if you have a wheelchair (24″maximum at base), walker, or difficulties climbing stairs. For questions about the accessibility of the train and its different classes, please call prior to booking a reservation on our website. All seating is assigned/reserved and cannot be guaranteed. Slow-Roasted Prime Rib of Beef with sherry au jus, served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and fresh vegetable du jour.
Chicken Marsala
Tender breast of chicken with a mushroom marsala wine sauce. Served with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies.
Atlantic Salmon
Brown sugar garam marsala rubbed and seared Atlantic Salmon, served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies.
Vegetable Napoleon
Grilled vegetables layered with mozzarella and topped with a light marinara. Served over mashed potatoes and garnished with fried red beets.
