Bring friends and family for a ride in our well-appointed train cars while you enjoy a fantastic lunch paired with your favorites from the fully stocked bar, all while taking in the spectacular winter scenery deep within Colorado’s grandest canyon.
Just like the Santa Express Train, the Holiday Train travels all the way through the Royal Gorge for a round trip journey. Our Holiday Train railcars are decorated beautifully to celebrate the season, and the vibe is relaxed for guests of all ages.
Warm up from the inside out with one of our holiday cocktails or your personal favorites from our extensive bar selection. Then, enjoy fresh, delicious offerings from our 403 Grill menu (named after our 1950’s locomotive) for breakfast and lunch. Gather around our tasty appetizers and order your favorites for lunch, like Basil Chicken Panini or Grass-fed Angus & Buffalo Burgers. Riding the Breakfast Train? Your choice of hearty breakfast burritos, pancakes, and omelets are always available on our morning departures.
Wander outside anytime to experience our open observation car. You’ll enjoy 360° views of the rushing Arkansas River, geological formations within the Royal Gorge, and historic sites. Remember your coat, gloves and holiday cheer!

Please arrive 1 hour to 45 minutes prior to departure to pick up your tickets.
We urge you to make your reservation early for Holiday Train because most dates sell out weeks in advance. Please have alternative dates in mind in case your choice of date is unavailable. Please also note that all seats are pre-assigned at time of booking. Specific seating locations cannot be guaranteed. Parties of 5 or more will be seated across the aisle or back to back. When selecting a date, if you do not see the ticket quantity selection, that particular class of service is sold out.
If you made your original reservation online and wish to add more guests to your reservation, please call reservations at 888.724.5748. If you wish to sit with another family which has made their reservation, please call our reservations department prior to making your own reservation. If multiple reservations are made, we cannot ensure that you will be seated together.
