This is full-on open-air dance party aboard the Royal Gorge Route, right in the middle of Colorado’s grandest canyon. You have to experience it to understand the unbelievable immersive vibe of this Rocky Mountain dance party in the middle of Colorado’s stunning Royal Gorge. Imagine yourself on the open-air dance floor, watching the laser lights against the sheer rock walls, along with friends, getting lost in the music and dancing the night away!

Your Itinerary
- Arrive approximately 60 minutes prior to departure.
- Visit the Santa Fe Depot to pick up your tickets to ride.
- Shop at our Trackside Mercantile or visit the Happy Endings Caboose Cafe for a pre-journey cocktail or mocktail.
- Prepare to board the train approximately 30 minutes before your evening departure.
- Get comfortable in your seats, order a beverage, and prepare for an epic night under the stars!
- Enjoy dinner and drinks which you may order when booking your tickets, or once aboard the train. Our fully stocked bar remains open throughout your journey.
- The Royal Gorge Laser Light Show, orchestrated to your favorite tunes on an unbelievable sound system, will start right around sundown. Join us on the open-air car, drink in hand, and enjoy the show!
- Feel free to remain comfortably seated in your railcar for a more or relaxed vibe.
- After your ride, but before you depart the grounds, you’ll have one last opportunity to spend time in our Trackside Mercantile to pick up gifts, goodies and collectibles.

Vista Dome Car: $154 per adult / $149 per child (ages 2-12 / children under 2 who sit on a lap ride free)

Deluxe Class Car: $144 per adult / $139 per child (ages 2-12 / children under 2 who sit on a lap ride free)

The Royal Gorge Route Railroad seats four guests per table. In keeping with railroad tradition, parties of two might be combined. When seated with other guests, you and your guest will be seated on the same side of the table. Parties of four will always be seated at the same table.
Refund Policy
The Royal Gorge Route has a no refund policy.
Virtually all of our guests understand that together, we engage in a common social contract: we provide a journey and dining experience aboard our train through the Royal Gorge. In exchange, guests pay for their ride aboard the train and the food, beverages and other special packages they order. Unfortunately, the pandemic has created a new phenomenon – guests who have no intention of paying are purchasing and enjoying hospitality, travel and restaurant experiences across the U.S., then, they are reversing charges and scamming businesses.
Please don’t purchase a ticket with this intention. Remember, really good people are working hard to provide a wonderful trip and dining experience for you. We promise to do our best and thank you in advance for being a gracious guest.

Please note that we seat in parties of 4. In the tradition of railroad fine dining, parties of 2 will most likely be seated across from another couple. Most of our guests enjoy meeting fellow rail fans. When seated with another couple, you and your guest will be seated on the same side. Larger groups will be seated in adjacent rows.

Every effort will be made to accommodate any special dietary or physical needs. For questions about the accessibility of the train, its different classes, or if you would like to be seated with another party, please call the reservations department at 719-276-4000 prior to booking a reservation on our web site.

Be sure to purchase while booking your journey and you’ll get a very special gift — our commemorative, limited- edition pint glass!
During your journey, our professional waitstaff will take care of you as we navigate through Colorado’s grandest canyon. We invite you to purchase and enjoy additional freshly prepared menu items along with your favorite cocktails, mocktails, microbrews, or sparkling, white or red wines (see our Conductor’s Reserve Wine List).
Dietary Accommodations
We offer full menu options to accommodate any dietary restrictions our passengers might have. Every effort will be made to accommodate any special dietary or physical needs. For serious allergies, please call our reservations line at 719-276-4000 in advance of your ride to ensure our team is aware of your needs. However, because we serve known allergens, please be advised that we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination.
Wheelchair Accessibility
The train only can accommodate a limited number of wheelchair patrons per each train departure. The Vista Dome is not accessible to wheelchairs. Guests must be able to climb 14 steps themselves in order to sit in the Dome Cars.
Please call Reservations if you have a wheelchair (24″maximum at base), walker, or difficulties climbing stairs. For questions about the accessibility of the train and its different classes, please call prior to booking a reservation on our website. All seating is assigned/reserved and cannot be guaranteed. Please call a representative at 719-276-4000 to book your tickets for the entire party with a wheelchair or movement impaired passenger.
Service Animals
The Royal Gorge Route follows restaurant health codes. Only licensed, certified service animals are allowed on the train. Any other animals, including emotional support animals, are not allowed on the train.
