Enjoy comfortable seating in one of our historic Deluxe cars, featuring a full-service bar, excellent service, outstanding views, and the opportunity to enjoy delicious food. This beautifully restored train car is a great place to relax with your friends and family. For an up-close-and-personal experience of this 1,000-foot deep canyon in the Royal Gorge, step outside to the open-air car.
During your trip, fresh, delicious, locally-sourced ingredients come together to make our 403 Grill menu (named after our 1950’s locomotive) a favorite for breakfast and lunch. Gather around our tasty appetizers, then order fan-favorites for lunch, like our Basil Chicken Panini, or Black Angus Burger. Riding the Breakfast Train? Your choice of hearty Breakfast Burrito, Breakfast Sandwich, Country Breakfast Skillet, Biscuits with Gravy, and Cinnamon Roll are always available on our morning departures. And remember, the bar is always fully stocked and open serving your favorite cocktails, microbrews, and wines. It’s all available for purchase aboard our Deluxe railcars.
Seating is limited due to popularity. Thus, in keeping with railroad tradition, parties of two might be combined to sit together at a table of four. When seated with another couple, you and your guest will be seated on the same side of the table. Parties of four will always be seated at the same table.

These beautifully restored railcars are the perfect perch for taking in the stunning scenery that surrounds you while you enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner, prepared fresh onboard the train. Our fully stocked bars offer specialty drinks, beer, and wines from around the world to enjoy at your table or out on an open-air car.

In the longstanding tradition of railroad dining, please note that we seat in parties of 4. Parties of 2 will most likely be seated across from another couple. This is an incredible opportunity to meet fellow rail fans, travelers, and new friends. When seated with another couple, you and your guest will be seated on the same side. Larger groups will be seated in adjacent rows.

We offer a full menu of dining options and do our best to accommodate any dietary restrictions our passengers may have. For serious allergies, please call our reservations line at 719-276-4000 in advance of your ride to ensure our team is aware of your needs. However, because we serve known allergens, please be advised that we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination.
Wheelchair Accessibility
The train can accommodate a limited number of wheelchair patrons per each train departure. The Vista Dome is not accessible to wheelchairs. Guests must be able to climb 14 steps on their own in order to sit in the Dome Cars.
Please call Reservations if you have a wheelchair (24″maximum at base), walker, or difficulties climbing stairs. For questions about the accessibility of the train and its different classes, please call prior to booking a reservation on our website. All seating is assigned/reserved and cannot be guaranteed. Please call a representative at 719-276-4000 to book your tickets for the entire party with a wheelchair or movement-impaired passenger.
Service Animals
The Royal Gorge Route follows restaurant health codes. Only licensed, certified service animals are allowed on the train. Any other animals, including emotional support animals, are not allowed on the train.
