Since we resurrected this Colorado train in 1999, our access to high-quality, local ingredients has vastly improved, as have the expectations of our 250,000 annual guests from around the world. We offer the very best Royal Gorge food and wine experience using quality ingredients from sources we know and love. We offer First Class Lunch multi-course experiences and fresh, casual dining aboard our Vista Dome, Deluxe or Coach railcars. Why is Good Food So Important to Us?
Every day we travel through Colorado’s grandest canyon surrounded by 360-degree views featuring Mother Nature’s most spectacular handiwork. We simply can’t and won’t serve low-quality, nutritionally vapid food to our guests alongside such exceptional service and scenery.
Fresh food tastes better. And buying from Colorado sources we know and love whenever possible lowers our environmental footprint. Virtually all of our main dishes are made from scratch and if not, they’re sourced from top purveyors or artisanal sources within the region. There’s no better Royal Gorge restaurant experience!
The scenery, service, and cuisine aboard the Royal Gorge Route Railroad are truly second to none, as is the train’s full-service bar of local, organic, domestic wines and microbrews, as well as an extensive menu of libations and aperitifs. Every element of the ride enhances the occasion.
