We’ve all seen the movie and read the book! Now experience the train that takes you to meet Santa Claus himself at the magical North Pole. The Santa Express Train is a winter wonderland, where children of all ages are encouraged to wear cozy pajamas and relax with family and friends on a journey you’ll treasure year after year.
While waiting to board the train you can get your holiday shopping completed in our new Trackside Mercantile and Santa Fe Depot stores, complete with unique gifts for the holiday season. As the Santa Express Train travels to the North Pole in the Royal Gorge, sing along to a mix of new and vintage Christmas music all while enjoying delicious, locally sourced entrees available on every Santa Express class of service. On the way to the North Pole, we’ll keep your family entertained, while you nibble on cookies, sip hot cocoa and enjoy your favorites from our fully stocked onboard bars.
When the Santa Express Train reaches the North Pole, Santa and his special Elves board the train to pass out a special holiday bell to each ticketed child as he makes his way through the train.

TRIP DURATION:
12:30, 4:00 & 7:00 PM Departures: Approximately 1-1.5 Hours
ARRIVAL:
Please arrive 60-90 minutes prior to departure to pick up your tickets and get your photo taken.
Please Note
We recommend arriving 1-1.5 hours in advance of your scheduled departure time to get your photos and golden tickets to take onboard! Early arriving passengers may be allowed to pre-board to get settled in for the unforgettable journey ahead. Please note that all guests are assigned seating and arriving early does not allow you to pick your seats.

These folios include a magical Santa Express Golden Ticket for children to have punched by the Conductor during your journey. Our professional photographers will put your family in the middle of the Holiday action with our custom photo backgrounds.
These folios can be pre-purchased at special advanced pricing of $30 for the premium folio or flash drive. There is also an opportunity to purchase the photo or flash drive the day of your trip for the regular price of $35.

- $134 Adult / $129 Child (ages 1-12) – Club Class: Comfortable table style seating in one of our historic Club cars. Featuring unique warm woods and large picture windows that showcases the beautiful canyon during our majestic winter season.)
- $99 Adult / $94 Child (ages 1-12) – Coach Class: Comfortable seats with expansive windows that showcase pristine views throughout one of Colorado’s grandest canyons.

Wheelchair Accessibility
The train can accommodate a limited number of wheelchair patrons per each train departure. The Vista Dome is not accessible to wheelchairs. Guests must be able to climb 14 steps on their own in order to sit in the Dome Cars.
Please call Reservations if you have a wheelchair (24″maximum at base), walker, or difficulties climbing stairs. For questions about the accessibility of the train and its different classes, please call prior to booking a reservation on our website. All seating is assigned/reserved and cannot be guaranteed. Please call a representative at 719-276-4000 to book your tickets for the entire party with a wheelchair or movement-impaired passenger.

Please also note that all seats are pre-assigned at time of booking. Specific seating locations cannot be guaranteed. Parties of more than 4 will be seated across the aisle or back to back. When selecting a date, if you do not see the ticket quantity selection, that particular class of service is sold out.
